'Horrifying': Passenger jet dives 1,600 feet to avoid nearby skydiving plane
Tue Jul 2, 2013
This is not an issue. Nothing 'went wrong'. There was a close aircraft incident, and the protocols for that situation were engaged and functioned. I am sure it was a frightening situation, but it sounds like the flight crew did precisely as they were trained to do.
Many Americans blame 'government welfare' for persistent poverty, poll finds
Thu Jun 6, 2013
My take is this. Part of the reason for the high level of welfare recipients is that there are limited opportunities for people with any sort of criminal background.
For a job after graduation, major in these, not those
Wed May 29, 2013
Business degrees, even as part of another program always a good choice.
The latest plan to 'fix' Social Security has plenty of critics

Americans more likely to discuss salary, weight, than credit card debt

Fast-food workers strike, citing low wages: 'It's not enough'
Thu Apr 4, 2013

Los Angeles syncs all traffic lights to speed up commute
Tue Apr 2, 2013

Has disability become a 'de facto welfare program'?
Thu Mar 28, 2013
We have all seen both stories. We see people drawing disability simply because they are overweight and will not manage their health problems. Hey, might as well not diet and exercise, and get a check. And if they have kids, the kids get a check too. That needs to stop.
Sprawling and struggling: Poverty hits America's suburbs
Fri Mar 22, 2013
Not sure how this became a political debate. I totally respect the plight of single moms, but I do think there are places that are just as nice where rent is not $1125/month. Best of luck to Tara and Alexis.
'You've got to be kidding me': Maryland woman gets a ticket for driving 63 mph — in a 65 zone
Tue Mar 12, 2013
I do not know about her state, but in a majority of states, the left lane is for PASSING, at the posted speed limit. If she was not passing anyone, than she should be in the right lane. The speed she was driving is not relevant.
